First off, you will not see an Adapter for VMnet0. Instead, you will see in each physical NIC's properties, the "VMware Bridge Protocol" Service.
Do you have multiple NICs? If so, try disabling Automatic bridging, and manually specify the one NIC that is usually connected to your network.

Missing action extensions on vSphere upgrade
Hi,
Our Flex based UI plugin module has action extension points both on Actions menu (+ right click on object) AND under Manage view. These have filtering criterion so they appear only for certian object types. It works well until someone upgraedes their vSphere Web server to 6.0 u2 or newer. I don't see any errors and didn't find any docuemtation on what has changed... closest I saw was Action menu's are now flattened to top level. Appreciate suggestsions. Am including the plugin file snippet for reference.

Re: NSX Edge ECMP + NAT
So from a NAT and NSX perspective this design is great and will work. having a single interface for your traffic entering and exiting your ESG will allow you to run statefull services on that device.
The only issue I could foresee is with running dynamic routing over vPC. You may be fine since the vPC is layer 2 and your layer 3 endpoint is upstream from my understanding, but most cisco devices won't support dynamic routing over vPC.
Again, that's sort of aside from the NSX thing, but it's something you should probably look into. I know it's bitten me in the past.

VPS Nested VM - Bridged
Hello, I am using a VPS, In this VPS I have windows 2013 server installed, on this I have vmware hosting a vulnerable image for penetration testing.
When I am using NAT I am able to access the internet from the guest, however once we switch to bridged we are unable to access the internet or talk with other instances in the same subnet. A VPS is required to be used and I cannot use a dedicated server.
Is this vmware related or VPS related? Please help in any way you can.

VSAN 6.0+ and external storage DAS / JBOD
Can someone please point me to a resource that speak to using VSAN on hosts that have external enclosure attached via SAS HBA, JBODs. I am reading that since v6.0 external storage is supported but no HCL or adapters listed anywhere.
To what extent is this supported? What are the limitations of this support?

VMWare GUI Workstation crashes when restoring to Snapshot or Reset from VM\power menu
Running 12.5.5 build-5234757 of VMWare Workstation, on Windows 10 version 1703 build 15063.0.
Whenever I try to restore to a snapshot, or reset a VM from the VM-> Power menu in the workstation GUI, the GUI will crash. The VM is still running and you can relaunch Workstation or reopen the VM from the System tray app without issue. All the VMs are on one of many different local drives, doesn't matter if I have one or 6 VM's open, or what OS or configuration the client is running.
It was happening with the previous version I had, was hoping the update to the latest would fix. Before I try an uninstall and reinstall of workstation I thought I would see if anyone else was seeing this?

Before starting P2V process, you have to Inject the SCSI drivers in the Physical server. Follow this KB to Inject drivers
and then start the P2V process.
If the P2V process fails at 95% or 97 or 99%, don't worry
Just go the Datastore.
Browse Datastore
Right click the VMX file and add to inventory.
Then power ON the VM, it should work

TI think i might have found the issue that is causing teh password issue. Seems like teh old DEMO vrealize server was deleted from disk and there are still remnants of Op Manager still in vcenter. Anyone have an idea how i can clean this up to get back to square one??

what I meant, is from the end user point of view, in other words,
the end user who opened the catalog & chose the blueprint, will end up with a VM,
the question is, how the end user can transfer a file whether a doc or an .exe file to that vm from his own desktop ?
when the end user connect to the vm using VMRC the option (Removable media) is grayed out for the vms created by VRA 7 as shown in the attached picture..
is that normal or it's just happening to me ?! because when I try to connect to the same vm using VMRC but from vCenter, I have" Removable media" option available & can be used
to connect iso files to the VM. why it's not working when vmrc is activated from vRA 7 user portal ?!
I appreciate to have an answer for this question & to provide the end users with a simple way to transfer their files & apps to the vms they created in the cloud.
